just caught up with tokyo ghoul anime and i really liked it, should i pick up the manga? how long is it? where do i start from season 2 episode 8 or should i start from the beginning?

Season 1 of the anime didn't include a few parts from the manga, otherwise the storyline stuck to the manga. Season 2 changed the manga storyline a little and left out the whole Kanou thing. In season 2, Kaneki joins Aogiri tree, but in the manga he forms his own group. Season 2 still gets back to the manga storyline. Episode 9 of season 2 was released today. In this episode, Touka rushes over to Anteiku to help, but she doesn't do so in the manga. Will Season 2 kill Touka? Was it her that kaneki was holding in the cover art? I have a feeling that they are gonna change the ending. The manga had a disappointing ending after all. Ishida Sui could have done much better at the manga ending, so he is now providing us with part 2 of the manga.

I must agree also in the anime one episode was bad animated and censored
