What do you think looked great in a manga but was a disappointment in the anime or what do you think looked great in the anime but was a disappointment in the manga, any manga or anime

For me, it was Goku's first transformation into a super saiyan, in the anime it was amazing but in the manga it was very lack lustre, he said one line and his hair changed colour.

The madara fight seemed way more impacful in the manga. They censored the last 2 episodes.

Akame ga Kill and Tokyo Ghoul have a great Manga, and disappointing animes.
Hunter X Hunter on the other hand had a better anime and a not very well manga.

Nanatsu no taiza manga looks good, but the anime...

Yup, that's what I meant. The drawings in the Manga of HxH sucks a horseass.

Toriko's anime adaptation was a complete let down. I have never seen a series get butchered like that before. I see people complaining about AGK's anime adaptation but they don't know jack sh*t till they see Toriko's terrible anime. I hope it gets a good anime adaptation someday, assuming Toei drops it which is unlikely.

There's been a handful of OP moments in the manga that weren't that great in the anime but by no means was it butchered. It was decent but can't be compared to the manga.

Tatsuya's Material Burst on the final episode, Madhouse could have done a better job with that IMO.

Another one for me is Ultimate muscle, the anime was funny, cute and action packed but the manga is as smutty as hell, the ages of the characters are really bizarre, it wasn't funny and the violence was really disturbing, the manga and anime were entirely different and the last arc was totally weird, not enjoyable at all.
