Manga to Game question

Does anyone know if the two oni things have any relevance to naruto manga or anime or are they just in the games. They are in ultimat ninja 4 and ultimate ninja storm 2 so I'm thinking its a shippuden thing?? Sorry the pics are bad quality but you get the picture (hopefully)

the one on the right (blue) is the mythological japanese god of wind, fuujin. he represents naruto.

the one on the left (red) is the mythological Japanese god of lightning, raijin. he represents sasuke.
