From what I can tell what happened a webcomics creator called out mangarock on Twitter for hosting there material on there site without their permission.
And somehow this news got to Japan and supposedly they called for there app to be removed from apple and android store.
They released a statement saying they would take down their site and app and urged other pirators to do the same.
I barely ever went on there site but learned they had a subscription service to read the full catalogue of series they stole probably the trendiest hosting site I've heard of.
