We did get it. He saw Dan and Nawaki die, causing him to see that human life is fragile and short. This, along with the death of his own parents, caused Orochimaru to seek immortality because now he knew that human life wasn't enough for what he truly wanted: Mastery of all jutsu in the world, which IIRC, was linked to a desire of knowledge.

Knowing Kishimoto i have no doubt he won't even care. There are so many questions unanswered about this manga even at this point. I really hoped Oda was the one writing this manga. I was really cool at first but it's like Kishi lost the flow at some point

I ranked them in terms of manga timeline, not in terms of importance. Minato's hype jutsu happened before the other ranked ones in my list. At least Minato's jutsu was hyped quite a lot in a battle scenario, when Orochimaru's backstory is background lyric. Not to mention, like i've said i simply forgot Orochimaru's backstory

Well i remember him saying the serie would last longer than he predicted somewhere before the apparition of Jubi jins, yet he was still continuing to create those shitty fbs/sentimental panels. I think he may simply have forgotten some previous details of his. Either that or it's the editors who somehow put him under pressure
