Agreed, its one of the reason why i enjoyed the last. Hopefully Kishi expands on this, he must of have Toneri coming back for a reason. Well see.

He was about to die but Naruto being well Naruto decided to save him. Hinata and Naruto(mostly Hinata) TNJ him during the aftermath and he decided to stay on the moon never to come toe earth again(Hinata also wanted him to come visit from time to time but he refused). I feel really sorry for Toneri though, he went through alot of stuff.

The new project say nothing about uchiha but sure lots of Otsutsuki, Byakugan and Hyuga.

Well duh the whole clan is dead and their story is pretty much done.

Also you forgot to add Himawari since Hinata voice actor, Nana Mizuki, already said she will be voicing Himawari in the future.

Well like i said earlier Kishi planned for him to have a role in P3 but his editors scrapped the idea :/. I hope this isnt the last we see of him though.

Can't wait for the salty tears after Sasuke finally gets a role in a movie only to be used as a plot device to get Naruto and his son closer. Sakuras novel also has an opportunity for a Sasuke appearance.

By now many of us know in the Spring of 2015, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto will be launching the Naruto Part 3 mini-series (official title not yet announced) that will focus on the next generation. The new manga will run in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, just as his previous Naruto work did. In an interview with Entermix magazine, Kishimoto-sensei reveals he has work left to do in Naruto until next summer, which means Naruto part 3 will likely only last a few months.

After that he has the Non-Naruto title manga. Besides the mini-series, there is also that Bolt movie. So, as long as SP milks Naruto there will be animated content, but the manga is lasting a few months. Lol

There are also those novels, not written by Kishi.

1. Uchiha clan got the most spotlight in the main series.
2. Kishi didn't even gave a crap for the development of Hyuga clan in the main series.
3. Kishi isn't making this crap new project.
4. Since point 3 is true, I literally don't give a damn about this series.

The New Era project fulfills Kishi's desire to write Naruto as a dad and lets SP and WSJ continue to make money, since it's a spin-off from the original. Sounds like it's a single arc - I don't see how we could get much information other than plot with so few chapters.

Tbh I'm more looking forward to Kishi's next work.

There was only one MC in the manga. The others you mentioned were side characters - some more important than others - but still only side characters.
