Manga difference with the Anime(289), Ringo Ameyuri and Omoi, swords

In anime episode 289, Omoi manages to trap Ameyuri, with an idea given to him by his teamleader.
He traps her in a quicksand type of swamp and sacrafices himself.
When he has sunk up to his waist, the reinforcements arrive and Sai pulls him out.

Ameyuri respects Omoi, for his swordfighting, his determination and the fact that he managed to trap and defeat her.
As a thank-you gift, she gives her swords to him.
I think that is so boss, to gain epic swords like that, from an opponent.

Now i really liked this episode. The character Ringo Ameyuri was quite awesome.
Personality, looks, style, she is one of the more awesome members out of the 7 swordsmen group imo.

However, doesnt this episode mess up the manga?
According to the anime, Omoi has her swords.
In the manga he doesnt have them.
It is such a shame that he probably will not use them in the future anime episodes.
You cant have him running around with Ameyuri's swords from now on in the anime, or can you?

I agree with you. Ringo was awesome in this filler episode. Eventhough it's a filler, i liked her character. She can maybe even become one of my favourites now

I feel the same.
I dont consider these fillers, I consider them anime episodes about the war.

He will probably use the sword for a while, but will not keep them afterwards.
Kakashi stopped using Zabuza's sword after defeating the Seven Swordsmen, we could assume Omoi stopped using Ringo's as well if he doesn't appear using them anymore.

This will probably be true.

But really, it would have been awesome if all those swords found new owners and we got to see the new owners using them.

Omoi with Ameyuri's Fang swords (really fits him).
Bee with Kisame's Samehada (already true).
I dont feel Kakashi and a big @ss sword are a good match.

Which characters would fit with the other swords do you think? (and same question to the others in this thread)
