Simply depends on who you are, and how good you are in doing your thing. Different for each person. Some people can write a 20 page essay in 5 hours done. Others take days.

But whats not mentioned in the list, is the breaks they take and the small naps.

Well I don't know about that, you really can't speak for anyone. Once your contracted, I'm assuming they expect results. You can't just give up and quit being an author once you're signed to a professional label.

But that's my assumption, I don't know how it works.

Probably I think. Though usually monthly releases come in larger quantities (chapter wise)
