Manga/anime moment that got you sold on Naruto

Which was the moment that made you decide to follow the series?

For me it was Deidara saying "Art is... a blast!" for the first time (my history of following Naruto began with watching first 20 Shippuuden episodes that my cousin brought to our country house). Also, when Naruto beat Kakashi in the bell test by spoiling the ending of his book, I found it really funny back then.

I checked it out after seeing a few parts of the Chunin exams, such as Orochimaru's scenes and Gaara vs Lee. Honestly, that arc was just the shit.​

When Orochimaru attacked Team 7 in the Forest of Death and subsequently forced the Curse Mark on to Sasuke. First episode I had ever seen on Toonami, and it got me hooked on the series.

I too, started watching from the beginning. Back then, I didn't know a thing called 'manga' existed. The moment I got really hooked was when Kakashi defeated Zabuza, Naruto awakened his Fox Mode, Sasuke his Sharingan and Zabuza cried! I was like, damn this antagonist has feelings, which separates this from other Shonen mangas where the antagonists kill for no reason.

The first episode, when Iruka got stabbed in the back while protecting Naruto. Since I was a kid at the time, I was never used to scenes like that and was like 'Oh, blood!' and ended up hooked.

I did not like it much at first, end of Land of waves arc made me gave a chance; but still "meh" to me.

Then i watched Lee vs Gaara. Epitome ot epicness, purely awesome battle beginning to end.
That was when i decided this is more than a cheezy excuese of a cartoon.
