I have to hand it to him, he has the best taste when it comes to picking students. As anyone could see, a lot of his astounding predictions/hypothesis came out true, and his experience with ninjutsu and kinjutsu is very impressive.

The way he narrates... is so smooth and gives me the feel of a true guardian of Lord Sasuke, constantly monitoring his development. This is something Jiraiya nor Kakashi could ever come close to...

Edit: How is this a wank thread? What I am commending here is Orochimaru's insight and his amazing taste when it comes to selecting students.

His experiments/predictions/ are also pretty spot on.

The dude even cheated death several times, made Tobirama his pet and even got praised by Hashi Lol

Conlusion: Sasuke was smart in ditching Konoha for his training with Orochimaru, as there is no one who is dedicated and knowledgeable enough as him.

I wasn't all that surprised to see a Senjutsu Susano'o, Juugo and Sasuke obviously had a plan, but had to change it to account for Obito's immunity to Ninjutsu. Sasuke has the same "potential" as Madara, and he's clearly strong. But don't overhype him like so many others... It makes us all look bad... :eww:

"Lord Sasuke" is a silly title...

Please tell thee

Thou art trolling me?
It's just my opinion. Naruto learned the least during time skip transitioning from Part 1 --> Part 2, Sakura's development was greater than Naruto's, the main protagonist. All we saw from Naruto was a larger form of Rasengan. Considering how long this time skip was learning under Jiraiya, compared to how long Naruto learned his strongest techniques, it's laughable.

3 years roughly with Jiraiya, and he learns Odama Rasengan, that's about it.

-A few weeks with Kakashi with support of Yamato, the highest form of Fuuton is produced.

-Trains under the toads in Mount Myōboku, learns Sage Mode along with Sage techniques, this also doesn't take long, a few weeks roughly.. if that? My memory isn't too clear on this one, I just know it didn't take long.

-With the help of Bee, in less than half a day, learns how to control the Kyuubi and unlocks KCM.

Three very large feats held by the listed characters, teaching Naruto. All happened in a relatively short amount of time, Jiraiya had 3 years, and Naruto comes back with Odama Rasengan, worsened control of the Kyuubi, and the Ninja basics that even low level Chuunin should grasp.

I don't see the big deal in Jiraiya's teaching abilities.

There are some factors and variables we have to consider. First, Jiraiua had to mold a genin level novice into a Chunin-Jounin level ninja. Justus aren't an adequate measuring stick per se. Jiraiya molded Naruto into a more adept, apt, and versatile overall ninja by part 2. That's why by part 2 Kakashi was able to augment that potential of Naruto and take advantage of the fact that Naruto had covered the basics and essentials of a ninja. Second, Jiraiya was preoccupied a lot with women and his perky novels, which wasted time. Third, Orochimaru gave Sasuke the curse mark which bolstered his training results, and Kabuto gave him drugs to augment his strength. Seeing how strong Nagato, Konan, and Minato are there's no way he was a bad sensei
