Naruto and Sasuke are out of this equation.

The rest of them though, lived in a fantasy world compared to Hashirama's era
.

It was thanks to Hashirama and Madara, that Konoha was even born. The peace that Hashirama had envisioned did reign for quite some time.

Just sucks that Hashirama or Madara couldn't enjoy that peace themselves.

But.....

"There is always conflict...........no matter what the era."

I agree to an extent. I mean, they actually did live like kids in large part. Obviously the main characters had some significant problems in life. But if you think about the rest of the kids in the village they probably had a normal ninja childhood.

I wouldn't call fighting the Juubi part of their childhood as they are old enough to start having their own kids pretty soon (in there world). And compared to 7 years olds getting blown away, fighting at 15-17 is nothing. But while they didn't have all out war, they did experience attacks on the village (Suna/Oro, Akatsuki) pretty early so I'd hesitate to call their collective childhood easy. Their Chunnin exam ended with an attack by a huge Sand monster, giant snakes, and a hokage-wielding Sannin.

naruto's generation going up against the juubi.... i wouldnt call that 'to easy'
In comparison they did. Hashirama and Madara had both lost brothers and family. Naruto only knew what loss was in terms of Hiruzen, Jiraiya and Neji. He never knew his parents at the time of their deaths so he doesnt feel it. He never had an overbearing parent pushing ideals on him and telling him its ok for his kid siblings to die in war. If anything, Sasuke is really the only person of K11 to truly know Hashirama and Madara's pain (although it was planned by Madara). The rest, what? A parent has died. Big whoop. Ino, Shikamaru, and Neji's parents have died. At least they didnt have to witness it. Hashi and Madara have actually felt the loss of their families.

How do you know that Neji didn't witness his father die? It's not something that is explicitly stated. Plus he was born as a slave to the hyuuga clan and controlled through a painful curse mark on their head that can be activated by any main branch member that could even kill them if necessary. That's pretty harsh compared to the other K11, excluding Naruto and Sasuke

Witnessing death is painful and Sasuke did endure a lot of emotional/mental anguish from it, but that's a very good point. Neji was a slave and had no freedom like all the others in a time of supposed peace.

On topic, I agree about the fighting, and even now this fight with the Juubi is totally different from what Hashirama and Madara lived through. They watched people willingly kill children and that's far worse than a currently mindless creature, but they didn't have it as easy as previous generations.

i agree with you when it comes to death but naruto's generation did go through some things. For example, Lee was technically a doomed ninja, having no real skills, so he had to go through feeling like a failure and gaara was just.........disastrous as a kid.
