The Hidden Mist always has been the village that mostly shows how dark Narutoverse can actually be so it was nice getting more a peke at why it is such with talking of anbu was really nice. An Kakuzu showed more signs as why I like him but also despise him as the guy has freaking anger issues! Itachi dodged a huge bullet not teaming up with him.

More like Kakuzu got lucky. Itachi would have killed him if Kakuzu tried to attack o_o

Ehh at the time he could've been on par with each other kakazu having edge

Cuz itachi was young etc.. Itachi was in his prime during shippuden his sickness only gave him low stamina (and blindness was affecting him and chakra etc) that's why he proformed the way he did when revived etc...


A younger itachi shouldn't be able to best kakazu when he was constantly in his prime do to that jutsu cuz he was around and fought/survived against hashirama

Yeah I agree this episode was pretty awesome. I love these few fillers where they actually help to expand on the NV.

I wish they showed what happened to Yagura afterwards. I mean, I know Obito eventually takes over him when meeting Kisame, but it would be interesting to see Yagura's reaction after this fight. Maybe Obito took him while he was down?

Idk why they skipped it when we're seeing oro fight Sasori next ep and that's not itachis point of view.
Maybe zetsu was watching. SP should have done something with zetsu he's just there like a plant lol

I can't see Kakuzu dealing with any of Itachi's genjutsus to be honest. Despite his age, he was strong enough to scare Orochimaru into not trying shit against him, and he had his MS activate against the 4th Raikage so if he Kakuzu had really forced his hand he'd have to deal with that too.
