The entire premise behind evil in this series is cause of people wanting to forget or change the past or to make it so what happended to them in the past wont happen again. Eventually it was going to happen. Naruto TnJ always prevails no matter how evil the person is. He even TnJ Raikage and he is the most stubborn, and hot headed person in the series

The way he acted behind that mask was all a lie, he was acting all bad and strong so people think he is Madara. What you see now is the real person behind the mask, his real personalty, what you liked before was a mask, an idea.
