I don't think Kishi was ever bashed for his decisions that much. Like fans were disappointed, but people were able to move on. The shippers in Naruto are flat out cancer so them criticizing Kishi is no big deal but Ikemoto and Kodachi are flat out garbage.

They don't realize they are tainting his work by adding more ass pulls and eye powerups. Now we also have a tattoo system thrown into the Naruto mix. Man, things change fast.

the reason why we miss him is because whatever he does, goes.
for ikemoto and kodachi, we would always have the go to "it's fanfic" excuse and rightfully so as they really can't experiment and go out of script from kishi's original work as it wouldn't feel like the sequel is from the same universe.

The main issue is that they go on about with experimenting but get so caught up in trying to keep it the same that they practically didn't create something new or flat out doesn't fit into the universe anymore.

For example, Boruto. Complete carbon copy of Part 1 Naruto slowly becoming more and more like Sasuke.
The one eye doujutsu is what pissed me off. Kishi had already released the double byakugan doujutsu artwork for Boruto and yet that was retconned.

I like Ikemoto's design of the fused Momoshiki but the rest of the series has been garbage so far. The only ones who follow the sequel are the ones who are invested on the previous generation and want to know more about them. Except you're moniker is 123fillerino.

If you create a sequel and the only thing that people want from it is the people from the prequels (the past generation) but your focus is the new generation, then you've failed.

SasuSaku just didn't make sense anymore but it still went because it is still popular due to Part 1.
Gaiden was suppose to retcon that decision but he got cold feet when people blabbed too much about how it's suppose to be SasuSaku.

Ikemoto is really just copying Kishi's ideas now. The Karma seal has the same abilities as the Preta Path plus more rectons yet to come, who knows.

There is no creativity within the sequel and even the technology is taken out of proportion making the manga/anime less exciting.

This affects pretty much any series though with new gen. in my opinion they shouldn't have created the new gen. they should have Naruto and Sasuke as the mains tackling Otutsuki threats. This kiddie plot just isn't enticing. Part 1 Naruto also wasn't as arrogant or annoying as Bolt.

My only issue with kishi was the OP nature of his characters they ceased being ninja. He went into avatar battles and unlimited chakra which I disliked. He lost the flare he had displayed throughout the manga.

However all of that was still manyfold better than what we have with Boruto. He's one of the worst MC's I've seen in my life, he's called a prodigy to justify bad writing and handouts. His existence has ruined the potential that could've been for the new manga. There's always hope Kishi comes back, cancels and restarts the manga.

There is not a hint of tension in the new chunnin exams while in the old ones you could feel the grit and tension what with Oro getting involved and all. Funnily enough we have a powerhouse like Momo interfering in the new one but there is zero tension compared to what Orochimaru was doing.

Yup, the CE dynamic of Naruto is so much better than Boruto and most of the fanbase will come to this collective thinking.

In the Naruto CE, you have Orochimaru, Dosu, Gaara fighting their own battles in the Forest of Death.

In the Boruto CE, you have Team 7 trying to capture the flag and what makes it worse is that he had to cheat against those triplets by expanding his water jutsu.

The era of peace is bringing the entire manga/anime down and nowadays villains are just a joke. They are just a one time thing, it isn't a villain that adds to the plot or brings any sort of drama.

When Naruto and Sasuke are God Tier Shinobi, the shinobi levels are staggering and we as fans can see it.
