because it is more interesting to people, everyone has seen obito using rikudo's staff before but SM minato is a new thing

in the same chapter madara became juubi jinchuriki and sakura gave naruto CPR but sakura and naruto's "kiss" was more interesting to people because it was new so there were more threads about it

people are more involved with a character like minato than they are with a character like rikudo

they have been discussing about minato for years and years whether they are his fans or haters

sure rikudo, his history and powers are on a grand scale but only in the manga, but in the forums minato has more influence

add a new detail about rikudo, few would care, add a new detail about minato, forums would explode

same goes for characters that have been shown/told about from the beginning

actually watching the arguments about Minato's SM is more fun since Obito will obviously fail like the rest/no need to fuss about it (he's half dead/Madara is too OP).

Obito's attempt shouldn't be taken seriously :yeah: the best he can do is hand the Kyuubi's chakra to save Naruto then die.
