First off, I would like to know why you want to learn Ninjutsu.
Alright. Ninjutsu are the basic and core principles of being a ninja, and only in rare cases can you do without it. It is by far the most useful form of jutsu, ranging from chakra control to sealing etc. I would like to use these jutsu or ninjutsu rather to further outclass and outskill my opponents and be smart on the battlefield and in the village.

Very standard answer. >_> You are correct though, while Ninjutsu is a basic term that also contains the basic five in it, but what you must keep in mind that Ninjutsu is about the manipulation of pure chakra. Such an example of this would be what you said, such as cloning and summoning contracts. It is the fundamental, whereas you focus on manipulating raw chakra in conjunction with Ninja Tools, which I feel is very much underestimated these days.

So, I want to talk about Ninja Tools a bit, if you don't mind. Generally, there are no restrictions regarding Ninja Tools, so use them as much and as creatively as possible.
Starting with the kunai, what do you know of them?

Yeah, I was trying not to be too specific, I'll do better next time.

Hmm, going off what I know of them so far; kunai are short, portable blades used for various.. uses. <_< This includes cutting or slashing an opponent, executing them, pinning them or their clothes to a wall or tree etc, or even trapping them by cutting a rope or an obstacle etc. There are a lot of different uses and you are only really limited by your environment and surroundings.

They look like a portable javelin of sorts, with a hole in the middle of the handle. This could be used for holding the kunai or even swinging them around with your fingers. The "pillar" connecting the blade itself with the handle also has a cloth or material of some sort, presumably to stop friction between the hand and the kunai and get a better grip so it won't slip out or anything like that...

Good description.
Kunais are offensive weapons that allow for physical contact of the body, as you stated. However, they can also be defensive, and can block simple taijutsu or other direct attacks, hand in hand combat, as you also mention. Wind is most often used for the elemental combinations. It is certainly designed for better grip, the hole can also be used to attach explosive tags to it if necessary.

Furthermore, by releasing a full wave of kunais at someone, it distracts their vision of sight, as they will be focused on what is before them. Within a battle, it is important to know where your opponents focus will be. By using flashy moves, you can get them to stare upon that only while you cook up another move that can flank them from the back. Naturally, by using this jutsu, their attention would be focused on the kunais, so keep this in mind the next time you battle. It is a good distraction, so use it to the best of your ability.

Now, what do you know of Shurikens?

Hm, Shrunken are more of a versatile item. You can make them out of more materials and their are many different versions of them; ranging from the Fūma clan's to the standard, smaller kind. You can also attach exploding tags or poison tags to give additional purpose and surprise in the heat of battle.

You can use them to either pin down or damage something specific, or even eliminate your opponent if accurate. Most use Shrunken for the former though. You could also utilize them in a trap, such as a tripwire that when activated, sends them to the opponent for either a kill or a distraction, perhaps following with a genjutsu or offensive jutsu.

Their appearance is of a metal star, with each point being sharp and a hole in the middle, for either holding or attaching tags to them. They are usually quite small, being able to fit around three in a pouch.

Sorry for the delay btw.

Excellent. As you said, Shurikens are definitely more smaller, allowing you to hold more than one in each hand in comparison to the kunai. Streaming lightning or even fire through threads like what Sasuke did, are both great ways to use Shurikens. Attaching tags to this actually may not be as efficient as the kunai as Shurikens are designed to travel quickly and efficiently through the air, gathering force so that the edges become particularly sharp as it hits its opponents.
The easiest way to use these are either a swarm of Shurikens, which act like little annoying bugs, and can easily block your opponents field of vision (as they will be focused upon these weapons coming at them), or to tie them upon strings and manipulate your opponents into being tied up in them.
They are light, easy to handle, and you can hold a bunch at once, unlike a kunai.
The next ninja tool is the smoke bomb.
Explain to me how you would use it in a battle and what it's prime use it for. Also, which Doujutsu can render it useless?

Remember that there are no restrictions on basic Ninja tools in a battle, so be creative and use them to the best of your ability.
