Azuma walked up to the training grounds, blade at his side. As a preemptive measure, he wove six hand seals in quick succession while directing his chakra into the sky above him. After a brief moment, it began to rain. He figured it would be necessary seeing as he was learning to use the rain itself.

Ne, this seems interesting enough. I'm glad I went East; I doubt anybody in Wind Country would know anything about this stuff.

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra after waving the Bird → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Rat → Snake handseals. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

OOC:
So! We gonna be doing a method system, rushing things, or what? I'm down for whatever seeing as I'm a fast replier.

What do you wanna do? I don't do method. We either technique by technique with you explaining techs when i post them so i can see your knowledge on them, and i fill in the blanks. Or we can do actual rp (i better be in ya history if i rp this bro lmao jkjk). Either is ok with me.

Ps. Remind me on discord with a tag to reply if i don't reply same day

I'd like to do this at a relatively brisk pace, but I understand if you're opposed to doing things fast. I'm 100% down to going tech by tech, but could we do 3-ish a post? Faster that way. I'll examine and give you a pro-con of each tech, and we can definitely slow down if you feel like I need to. I only suggest this because I've been rp'ing since 2014 and have a decent grasp of how everything works :)

That said, lets do it!
PS: I can perform techs if you want as well.

Ok first and only 2 d rank. Explain em for me champ.

(Ame Tama no Jutsu) - Rain Bullet Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: By focusing chakra into the user's hand they are able to gather rain drops towards their palms, the rain is molded together by chakra and forged into a high pressured orb. Once done the orb will shoot away from the users hand and the user will be knocked back. If it hits the enemy the enemy will be sent away flying or unbalanced.

(Ameton: Igen, Hajimari Inori) – Rain Release: Majesty, Beginning Prayer
Type: Supplementary
Rank: D
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10
Damage: N/A
Description: Majesty is a simple Rain Release technique designed to supplement the user’s taijutsu strikes in combination with Rain Release. By releasing their Water elemental chakra into the atmosphere the user can infuse the rain drops produced by either natural storms or synthetic storms produced by various techniques to become heavily infused with the user’s chakra. The infusion does not allow for a form of obstruction sensory, like that found in Rain Tiger at Will. Instead this simply imbues the rain storm with a limited form of sentience allowing it to respond to the user’s will and follow their taijutsu strikes independently of the user at a small sacrifice of chakra. The result is that the rain will follow the user’s taijutsu. For example, should the user attempt to punch a target this technique will cause the rain within short-range of the user’s fist to follow the punch and barrage the target with rain drops. Should the user attempt to kick their target with a spinning kick to the side the rain drops will follow the target behind the kick and strike the target. The rain drops themselves pose no serious physical threat but are incredibly distracting able to break concentration and focus with ease. This technique is sustained as long as the rain storm itself is sustained.

The first technique is simple. It is a rain based projectile; you focus Ameton chakra into your palm, attracting raindrops nearby to your palm in the form of a sphere of water. You then launch this orb, experiencing slight recoil as you do so. Upon making contact with the enemy, it will stagger them or knock them away, depending on their balance at the time.

The second technique is also relatively simple despite it's length. The user slightly augments their taijutsu with Ameton, attracting rain nearby to their strikes. This distracts and lightly damages the opponent, all though the damage is negligible.

Nice effort. Looks good so far. . On to the next 3:

(Secchakuzai no Kouu) - Rain of Glue
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: When user makes it rain and then changes the compounds of the water(materials in the air). Then makes the rain sticky which binds the opponent in place for 2 turns.this jutsu lasts for 2 turns.

(Touei Ame Bushin) - Reflection Rain Clone
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique creates a reflection of the user, this clone is unable to touch physical objects or cause harm. Every move that the user makes the clone mimics at the same time. The reflection clone is destroyed after one hit, this is a tactical technique.

(Amegakure No Jutsu) - Hidden Rain Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: A jutsu that can only be used in rain to conceal oneself, this jutsu is considered a dynamic form of henge. After performing a row of hand-seals, the user seems to disappear. In truth, they have merely assumed a form that mimics rain. Fast movements and physical contact with others may reveal the user

The first technique is a non-offensive one; first the user directs their Ameton chakra into the sky, and then proceeds to manipulate it so that it causes the rain nearby to take on a sticky, viscous-like form. Upon contact with the enemy, said rain will trap them in place, stopping them from moving effectively for two turns. This one has a good few weaknesses and seems relatively easily avoided, especially with any full-body earth technique (of which there are many), but I could see a few uses for it.

The second technique is a sort of powered-down clone technique. The user projects their image onto the rain nearby, creating a life-like reflection of themselves that, like a reflection, does exactly what the user does. By batting away the stream of rain drops that make up this clone, it will disappear. This is something of a downgrade from the normal clone technique, but at the same time, I imagine it would be very useful when it would be raining quite heavily while it was dark. Overall not too great, but it could definitely have some uses situationally.

The third technique is also quite simple, although it's significantly more usable in actual combat than either of the latter two. This technique allows the user to Henge into what I imagine is a static patch of raindrops (frozen as if it was stopped midair while falling), allowing them to blend in nigh-perfectly with their surroundings. Seeing as rainclouds tend to make areas dark, and that nobody in their right mind would use this while in broad daylight, it's quite a powerful technique as it provides camouflage on a level that most other techniques of this level tend not to.

Dope keep up the good work.

(Hitoshirenu Ame Sai) - Hidden Rain Slash
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra to condense a single raindrop into a more solid form. The raindrop becomes as sharp as a blade. The disadvantage to this jutsu is that the raindrop falls in a straight line.

(Ame Kasui no jutsu) - Rain Spike Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user of this technique must place chakra into one or more raindrops. As the drops of rain hit the ground they create a small sized spike of water from puddles on the ground. For this technique to work there must be water on the ground and it must be raining.

(Ame no Yari) - Rain Spear
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: By using chakra to condense a large amount of rainwater into one place, the user creates a spear of water in the clouds. The spear can at any time be called down to strike an opponent with only one hand-seal. The water will stay in the form of spear for a short amount of time (three posts). If the spear is not used by that time it will fall uselessly as rain. The only warning this technique gives is a second pause in the rain when the water is gathered and condensed.

On these tell me how you would personally counter if used against you. Don't have to post a battle reply, just details on what you could do.

The first technique relies on the user attracting a single raindrop to their palm, after which they will focus a large amount of Ameton chakra into it. They will then swing their hand, releasing a thin, slicing blade of rain. Pretty simple, prolly quite good in close quarters. Defending from this would be simple enough; use a full body earth technique or basic wall, maybe just a simple wind technique to blow it away. It's a very direct attack and thus can be countered similarly.

This one is fun; first you infuse one or more raindrops with Ameton chakra. Then, as they hit the ground (which is obviously already wet since it's fucking raining) you cause a spike of water to erupt from even a puddle. I imagine this would make for quite a good surprise attack, especially when the opponent is surrounded by puddles or is even standing on a body of water. Despite this, the counters are once again quite similar. Using Doton No Jutsu to make a shield around your arm to block the spike would be an obvious way to deal with this. I have a dojutsu as well, so I'd likely be able to prepare a more effective counter in advance by perceiving the chakra in the effected raindrops, preferably stopping them from hitting the ground in the first place with a wind technique.

This is probably the coolest rain jutsu in my opinion. You can start a battle with it, and just leave it in the sky while it's raining for a few turns without your opponent noticing anything. Then you can call it down from the sky and stab em' with it. It's quick, easily hidden (a common theme with most of these techniques) and benefits from planning ahead. I would probably need to have my sharingan active to counter this (by seeing the opponent start the technique and trigger it in the first place), as a pause in the rain wouldn't really justify any major suspicion and especially not anything specific enough to warrant a counter for this move in particular. The only way I can think of countering it sans-dojutsu would be by looking up, surprised that the rain had stopped if even for a moment. Then I'd probably see the spear coming towards me and would respond appropriately.

Yeah the last one could be a real pain. Do the same for these. Last of the C ranks.

(Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Rain Capture Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique causes a target of the user's choice to "attract" raindrops. The water in the rain drops will attach themselves over an opponent. Once enough water has gathered over an enemy it will also attach to the ground, holding the user's opponent to the ground.

(Ame Bunshin) - Raining Clones
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates false clones of the user around drops of rain. Every clone is totally harmless and is destroyed by one hit or if they collide with the ground or the enemy. This technique is used as more of a distraction than anything.

(Gouu no Jutsu) - Heavy Rain Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: A jutsu that actually uses the victim's clothing as a medium to effect him or her. By filling the clothing with water-elemental chakra the user causes the clothing to fully retain all water it comes in contact with which will gradually cause the clothing to become heavier and heavier. Unfortunately, this jutsu that does not create water, so it is only useful in a rainy or otherwise wet environment

This first tech feels like it is magnet release in disguise. You attract raindrops to an opponent, and then said raindrops pull themselves towards the ground, weighing down the opponent. It's pretty spooky, but at the same time, not too difficult to counter. Any earth armor technique or full body surge of chakra of C-Rank or above will get the job done.

The second technique is just bad. It's blatantly illusory and the clones don't actually move. The user creates a bunch of illusions reflected towards the opponent through the rain. The difference between this and the last clone technique is that these clones are static illusions that fall in time with the rain. Furthermore, upon touching the ground, they disperse. No real need to counter this; just wait for the rain that makes the clones to hit the ground lmao.

This ability is sick. If your opponent is wearing any clothing with pockets or really just any clothing period, they will suffer because of it. The user focuses Ameton chakra into the opponent's clothes and causes all of the rain around them to compact into said clothes; this weighs them down and heavily slows their reaction speed. The best way to counter this is by removing any clothing that has pockets. This isn't too difficult in a world filled with swords and things that just generally destroy clothing. Other methods include moving to long range, or just using a full body earth technique.

Ok on these 3 I'd like you to actually perform each one. Keep it up fam.

(Ame Kumo Bunshin) - Rain Cloud Clone
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: A jutsu that creates a clone from the Rain clouds in the sky. The clone resembles the user but keeps the appearance of moving clouds with only the shape and color of the user. Because of this the clouds cannot be used as a distraction. The clones are able to attack and receive attacks.

(Ame Ame Tama) - Raining Rain Bullets
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user does the necessary handseals and focuses chakra into the rain, the rain draws together and forms several bullets of rain. The "bullets" fall at an accelerated rate and feel like large rocks falling from the sky.

(Toku no Ame) - Shield of Rain
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: User performs the necessary handseals and places their hands out in front of them. Using chakra they gather up a large amount of rain and create a wall of solid water. The water is dense and difficult to move through, thus protecting the user from most taijutsu attack and fire attacks. Earth based jutsu and Lighting jutsu are highly effective against this technique. The user must keep his hands connected into the wall at all times or the wall will return to its normal state. If struck by electricity it will move through the water and strike the user as well.

Azuma first focused on his Ameton chakra, moving it out of his body and into the sky. He then used this chakra to manipulate the rain clouds in which it resided, pulling it down and beginning to shape it to his own likeness. Finally, after solidifying his creation, Azuma was left with a rudimentary clone of himself, capable of performing and responding to attacks. However, this creation was unlike the traditional shadow clone technique in that the clone he had created had none of his features and still resembled a cloud, only being a clone of Azuma in shape.

Azuma focused his Ameton chakra into the rain around his opponent, allowing it to harden and compress itself. The result of this was the formation of rain "bullets". These bullets had the appearance of normal raindrops but hit as hard as falling rocks. As such the opponent, who was unaware of the entire process, was summarily hit several times on both his head and other parts of his body by oddly powerful raindrops, quickly knocking him out.

Azuma first focuses his chakra into a large amount of rain surrounding him. He then directs his hands inward, pulling the rain which he infused with Ameton chakra towards him to form a thick wall of water in front of him in contact with his hands. Turning around to face the oncoming fireball, he braced for impact as the technique met with his own. Despite this, his preparation proved unnecessary as the fireball made contact with his shield and summarily evaporated with little fanfare.

Nice nice. Perform these also. Basically will perform them on all the B ranks i post.

(Ooki Kouu no Jutsu) - Big Rain Skill
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: By sending subtle chakra waves into the clouds, the user is able to create unusually large nuclei for the water droplets to condense on. The end result is big raindrops that fall to the ground at a faster then normal rate. They aren't big or fast enough to cause any real damage, but they are quite distracting.

(Shuushi Ame) - Stop Rain
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique defines the users chakra control and for tactical measures for other techniques. The user creates the necessary handseals and every rain drop stops in mid air or wherever they are

(Ame Aikuchi) - Rain Dagger
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A simple jutsu that gathers the rain with chakra and then forms it into a dagger-like weapon. The chakra gives the water a more solid form so that it can be used for attacks. The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

Azuma molds chakra in his belly, then proceeds to apply the Ameton nature transformation to it. He then releases it as a subtle wave into the clouds above him, infusing it into the rain itself. This causes the raindrops to grow in size, the rain cloud now continuously producing large, distracting raindrops.

Following this, Azuma decides he's had enough of the rain for a minute. Making the tiger handseal, he spreads his chakra out from his body in a thin layer with deliberate control, forming it into a sort of chakra-mist that spreads through the air. He then applies Ameton to this chakra. This causes all of the rain above him to halt for a few seconds. After said few seconds, Azuma releases the technique, causing the rain to fall once more.

Azuma reaches his hand out to the right, and focuses chakra in his palm. He then applies the Ameton nature transformation to this chakra, and begins to focus on gathering the rain falling around his hand. After this, he uses the Ameton chakra and shape manipulation to form the rain into a 1.5 foot long dagger, then giving the rain a solid form, thus making it capable of cutting like a real weapon. Shortly afterwards, this dagger disperses and falls to the ground harmlessly, making a small puddle.

Ok last 2!!!!

(Amagasa no Jutsu) - Umbrella Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.

(Touketsu Ame Nottori no Jutsu) - Frozen Rain Capture Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: An advance version of rain capture where the user bounces the rain into the clouds. The higher up they go the more colder they get untill they freeze and come falling down(similar to hail)in the form of a net or a dome to capture the opponent.

Performing these is boring  they're both eerily similar to previous techniques. I'll explain em instead.

The first technique is exactly what the name describes. It is an Ameton shield that can be quickly created and used to protect against other rain-based Ameton techniques, but not the more solid, water-like ones. This is great in the mirror match, seeing as a lot of the more subtle rain techniques are secretly very powerful. It is however easily countered through the usage of any non-rain attack, or any more direct technique that uses a more solidified version of Ameton or Suiton.

The second technique is weird and kind of unnecessarily confusing. The user uses the same type of chakra shape manipulation for the rain capture technique from earlier, attracting rain nearby and from rain clouds above the opponent to said opponent. However, prior to moving the rain onto the opponent, the user first raises the rain high into the sky, where it freezes, finally bringing it down in a solid net or dome of hail. It's alright but I wouldn't say this needed to be a separate technique from the rain capture.
