Why does naruto want to be able to go full fox mode? I get he wants the control so he doesn't go berserk, but let's compare the pros and cons of going full fox mode

Pros: TBB
Cons: Loses speed, rasengan variants, ability to sense negative emotions, becomes one big target, is like a regular animal but huge

My point is, doesn't it seem more beneficial to him to stick to the mode he's gotten so far?

Well his speed actually increases in his new chakra cloak form, however, he's probably not as fast when he covers himself in the entire fox cloak so I get what you're saying.

It depends on who he is fighting... like when fighting Sasuke he wouldn't go full fox mode because he would be a bigger target for Amaterasu... but against pretty much everyone else... its more chakra so yeah... Full fox mode is better against just about everyone but Sasuke and Edo Madara and anyone with Amaterasu.

Rickerslade, he isn't losing anything. Remember; he had three versions of himself present on the beast: Sage Naruto, "Kage" Naruto (A powerful version of Naruto), and 9TC Mode Naruto. He was able to move at speeds greater than or equal to Minato Namikaze. :|
