It feels weird trying to aim for the "Popular Section", I honestly feel is a tough margin to past and even so it's hard to keep a good discussion going as it is. When the Hottest Section was on when a certain thread reaches a point the thread gets highlighted in the recent thread section. Seeing as it can attract more people and this get the answers or statements you would like to see. That's pretty awesome. But the point I'm trying to bring out is the motivation and determination to try to surpass a goal is all but void. It's harder to have the best thread up there cause the standards are to high.
And which comes to the idea I came up with 5 seconds ago. How about we have a section on top of the recent discussions that have the most comments. Now there are a some up's and down's to this. One thing that comes to my mind are spammers. But now that is pretty much fixed due to the character limit which makes discussions more abundant and less annoying.
But as an added plus it's awesome to have something to look forward to and actually make a thread worth reading and seeing others interested with your ideas and perspective. Personally I've always liked the Hottest thread section just because it was something to look forward to during the week. Which can attract readers and more attention.
This is not stupid proof. I honestly don't know how I'm going with this but the little voice in my head is telling me to make this thread just because.
So basically. Make a section in the recent thread section that has multiple threads with the most comments. That's it and hopefully some of you actually get what I'm saying. :|
