Searches all over but can't find any how-to guides.
Sorry if I'm mistaken but I did put an honest effort into looking.

How do you make a poll?

click on thread tools riight above your post
under where it says results 1 of 1

To create a poll, open the thread and look to the top-right of the post for "Thread Tools". Click and then select "Create Poll", you can organize the poll there then post it.

You will need some cylindrical metal and a saw. Then cut the pole to your desired length.
