Then why does the mother tree have a supreme jutsu that works completly dependant on the moon being there?
How does that make sense?

Maybye it has nothing to do with the moon, but it is a powerful genjutsu cast above the tree, and obito's plans are to have the moon reflect the genjutsu on earth.

Juubi has no intention to cast illusion. It only wants the chkara. The flower of the god tree have sharingan. The sharingan in that huge flower can be used to create illusion by casting it on moon. The juubi don't know anything about moon.

The rikuddu creating the moon was just a rumour that Nagato mentioned. It wasnt the real deal. Now this is the real deal. Ppl have to realise tgat sam statements made by sam characters are lies to deceive, others dont have the facts so not everything stated at first myt be the fact.

It doesn't require anything. It will just reflect. The host will perform the jutsu.

Well the moon is a big mirror to reflect the ability of the juubi eye.
The eye already have the infinite tsyukoyomi, it just didn't have an effective way to cast it in the world, and Madara theoritize that he could use the moon to do it.

Moon is not the juubi's body. Juubi's outer shell is sealed in the moon. When Madara was Obtained rinnegan he summoned the outer shell from moon.
