Microsoft's Director of Programming for Xbox Live on why he came out looking bad in the E3 video.
American TV host Conan O'Brien has released an E3 recap video that pokes fun at the videogames industry and in one segment, Microsoft's Major Nelson - who has now responded.
Major Nelson posted the video on his blog, which has Conan asking him about Xbox One, only to daydream about the Sony indie game he was playing moments earlier during the response. Conan then says Xbox One is 'the best system', because he spoke to Major Nelson second - which prompted a confused reaction.
"That was actually a shot of me listening to Conan ask a question that never got used," said Major Nelson. "Ahh the wonders of editing."
When someone followed up by saying that sort of editing makes the interviewee look worse, Major Nelson responds with: "I knew going in that this was probably going to happen. (sigh)"
At least he can be thankful for one thing - Conan gave Charles Martinet, the voice for Mario, a harder time than he gave Major Nelson.
