Not related to my comment. Gai is just raw power. Kakashi has the analytical battle skills, and knows far more jutsu. They're both equal in terms of use. I never said Kakashi (Sharinganless) was stronger.
Yeah Kakashi may lost a lot of power due to Kamui loss, however it is not one sided match and kakashi has great chance to do it.

I doubt he can open any gates now, maybe he will be also handicapped for the rest of his life,
I hope naruto can heal him after the war in some way, but for now kakashi will beat him when it comes to a fight.
