You said what would those albums be without those things you listed, so it's safe to assume that all of that is taken into account when making quality music. And well if you don't want to take it seriously than you don't have to, but I've heard enough songs to know Lil Wayne has one of crappiest deliveries in rap. I broke it down not because I didn't think you wouldn't get it, but because I wanted to give my side of what I think it takes to make good music. I don't know any other definition of sonic quality, you're free to tell me. And I don't assume you hate all underground rap, but like many people, they give me lyrics, beats, flow and delivery and it's not even that great - yet they use it to tell me how much better that artist is than the one I posted. And of course they do, they wouldn't be as popular as they are if they didn't, but if I was counting ALL mainstream (which I wasn't, only modern day) I would have to include Biggie, Tupac, Easy E, etc. I wouldn't say these lyrics are better than the ones they had, but my point was during the present main stream honestly has gone down hill. And yeah I've heard crappy underground rappers. You assumed I was talking about the entire underground vs mainstream, when I wasn't.
Then what the hell are you debating about? If the last part is true you literally just pointed out a bunch of things that pertain to the factors I listed. It's like you were trying to inform the informed but your approach made it seem like you were trying to form an argument.

And, again, if the last part is true, your opinions simply reflect my own for the most part (Aside from that shit you said about Wayne...that isn't even worth a rebuttal...). It's not as if I was implying all underground artists are unable to make good music. :lol

My original comment was to at first get a rise out of people, which succeeded, but later became a discussion that I enjoyed. My point was that most main stream hip hop artists (jay z and Kanye too) have become crap, the money and fame they acquired made them make music just for that. Which brought me to posting the song I did, which is to me far superior than most of the radio crap. And lol hey man if you like lil Wayne, that's fine. I have friends who like him too, but personally I've yet to hear a song that's got decent flow. And I won't even mention the shit lyrics he spits in so many of his songs. And your previous comments seemed as though it was similar to the other peoples on here; this nonsense that jay z and Kanye made tracks that changed the game forever and that any underground artist can't match their skill, simply because they feel the nostalgia. Yes they were good, but not game changing.

First off...wtf...how Kanye and Hov not game changing?

Both of them are some of the most influential and respected artists to do it...especially Kanye. Kanye arguably ushered in literally a whole era and inspired a lot of 'weirdo rappers' to take a stand and get busy...**** you mean not gamechanging?

I feel like yall just be listening to certain hip hop artists then acting like you're knowledgeable. What you just said proves not only your bias but also your ignorance to what those two did for the game. It's insane that you would even think to say that. I don't give a **** if you like their music or hate it, take those two from the game and hip hop takes a major blow and a plethora of artists disappear.

If you so much as deny their impact in the slightest I have to question if you really know what the **** you talking about. Smh.

Also, would you prefer the "radio crap" get replaced by the sorts of songs you posted in the OP? Go on...I'll wait.

I wouldn't even want Joe Budden Pray for Me in replacement of what's currently on the radio and it remind me of the song in the OP, just its better.

Lol I thought you had a sense of reasoning, but all that disappeared with what you just wrote. I'll just end the conversation here since it's obvious when it comes to Kanye and Jay Z fanboys they see them as gods among rap, with no room for rationalization. I could keep arguing but I'll just cut it here. It was fun, but I've seen enough bias from this whole thread already lol.

There is no discussion or debate about it, are you crazy? :lol This isn't a matter of opinion whatsoever. Just stop it.

I can't believe you even dare to discredit those men lmao. You might as well tell us how you can eat air for dinner in the middle of space before you do that.

Comparing what can most definitely be opinionated, to the impossible? Please stick to debating rap lol. I can discredit Jay Z by saying how he recylced Biggie's lines and flow in some of his own tracks. But I guess to you guys he was only paying his respects right? I stopped taking you seriously when you counted Lil Wayne as a good rapper haha.

There's no opinion about it. It's a fact that Hov and Ye have accolades and feats in hip hop that changed the game. What the **** are you going on about? Then discrediting Wayne and going on a complete different discussion. You think Wayne is a bad rapper yet...

Lil Wayne Dusse
Lil Wayne Glory
Lil Wayne 6MoD verse

Off the top these are tracks where Wayne was lyrical and still was able to make a nice song...and Wayne has an actual resume, accolades and a body of work that speaks for itself....classic albums...fire mixtapes....and he also influenced many artists... **** outta here...you literally said Wayne has no flow. Stop bandwagon hating... I can't stand you clown ass underground stans that have a starterpack of shit to hate on.

Lil Wayne sucks..
Mainstream music is trash...
X is better because he's obscure...

Grow up...if you're gonna be an underground hip hop fan you can do that without disrespecting and discrediting rappers that accomplished things.

Shit sickens me.

Lol what am I on about? You're ignorant if you don't know the shit Jay Z got for the crap he pulled. Nas - Ether, look it up; disses Jay Z for taking Biggie's lyrics. Not sure if you really don't know about the stuff that went on, or if you're choosing to ignore it. And I stated several times that not all main stream music is trash, so don't know what the hell you're on about. Lil Wayne is trash, I can pull up several amounts of lyrics and times his flow was shit to prove he's not even that good. And please, take your own advice and "grow up", because your assumptions are making you look like an ignorant fanboy.

Just quit telling me how good he is after this, this is only a bit.

My man, you are going crazy. You are denying the shit Hov did for this generation of rap because he got murdered on Ether? I didn't see you say anything about Kanye, but to argue my man did not inspire a generation of music is ridiculous. You don't have to like these *****s private lives, but what they did to Hip Hop can't be taken from them.

Shit, I'd even argue Pharrell Williams inspired a generation of production. My man produced so many of the hottest tracks to ever come out :lol.

*Kendricks drops a classic major label debut*

"Overrated album."

*J Cole first to go platinum with no feature in over 20 years*

"Album sales don't matter."

*Drake goes gold with a mixtape on his first week*

"He's a *****"

There will always be a way for dudes like this to discredit someone who accomplishes something. :lol

This dude think Im asking about his opinion on them or some shit? We talking legacies and accomplishments and he's tryna shit on them while his favorite rapper mixtapes going certified double plastic cup.
