Main Protagonist: Boruto or Sarada

Sarada or Boruto?

I'll wait until the announcement, and if it's a new series (which I doubt), I'll judge it based on its own qualities and not by Lord Godsuke's insurmountable standards.

Sarada. She's a far more interesting character than Boruto.

I think Sarada is extremely likable, but to say she's far more interesting than Bolt is a big stretch. From my POV, they are both well rounded characters.

But obviously one was in a negative connotation for a large part of the next generation theme, and the other one was immediately well received.

So it's obvious which one was more likable.

Likability =/= Interesting

I think he also has bigger shoes to fill if you want to listen
