Main characters?

Regarless of that it was still obito and i agree with the OP because obito was the one directly responsible for most of the tragedies and defining moments of the main characters:
1.Obito was the one orchestrating the nine tail attack which killed minato and kushina and made naruto an orphan and jinchiriki and made the leaf suspicious of the uchiha affecting sasuke and itachi.
2.Obito was directly involved in the uchiha massacre.
3.Obito was the reason itachi joined akatsuki.
4.Obito turn the original akatsuki and nagato which were working towards peace into an evil organization.
5.Obito was the true leader of akatsuki making obito responsible of their actions including garaa´s death and the destruction of the leaf.
6.Obito was the one who told sasuke the truth of itachi.
7.Obito was the one who recruited sasuke to capture bee and sent him to the kage summit, making sasuke an international criminal.
8.Obito was the one who declared war on all 5 great nations causing the death of more than 40000 shinobi.
9.Obito killed konan and neji.
10.Obito gave the sharingan to kakashi that made kakashi who he is right now.
11.Obito gave kakashi the moto "those who abandond their friends are worse than trash" that ultimately was passed on to naruto.
And many many more, Obito is indeed the one who is responsible for the most defining moments of the life of the main and major characters like naruto, sasuke, kakashi, nagato, minato etc, As a matter of fact there´s not a person whom obito didnt affected in the whole narutoverse.

1. BZ- Had his goo in a lot of cookie jars. He can take credit for every uchiha except for...
2. Itachi- Guy didn't know it all, but pretty darn close. Single handedly changed and influence more in the manga than anyone else besides...
3. Naruto- Every chapter or filler this guy influenced someone some where somehow, and almost exclusively for the better.
Now I think these were the Main players in the Naruto universe. You can argue that Naruto Sauce and Kakashi/Sakura were...and you wouldn't be wrong but I think those three (Oro would be a runner up tied with Jman imo).

BZ, was just revive kaguya program, it had no power no anything and shit except depending on his luck with uchiha and their bad fate.
Itachi was baby sitting sasuke when obito was deciding future fate of konoha and uchiha U_U

I thought it was pretty obvious that Naruto, Sasuke and Kakashi/ Sakura(being the main herion and all).
Why Obito ? He did have an impact on the plot but so did black Zetsu....

Maybe cuz he had more impact then zetsu, i mean the culmination of whole zetsu's planning for years and years was shat on cuz Obito traded sides

^ Simple as.The Main Characters are the people we see the story through and follow on their journey. They're not the ones who influence the backstory most. While BZ/Madara/Obito/Itachi/Jiraiya may have been responsible for a lot of events and been major parts of the history, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi are the main characters because they're the most focused on protagonists and who the story revolves around.

So, you're basing it off of the impact they have on the manga?
Then the three main characters are Black Zetsu, Kaguya, and Tree. Those things made the biggest impact and NV would not exist without them.
Pretty sure Kakashi has had more screen time than Sakura. He even got a few months worth of filler.
OT: Three main characters are Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi.

Theirs only one Main Character in the Manga and thats Naruto Uzumaki all other are support Characters and you only see them when interacting with Naruto,thats why so many episodes of the Manga doesn't have Sakura nor Sasuke in them. Sakura,Sasuke and Kakashi are part of Naruto's team that is the only reason they are seen more offend than any others but theirs plenty of both Manga and anime episodes were neither appear in for many chapters. Right now its Naruto vs Sasuke with Kakashi the only awake person that will interacted with Hagoromo until He disappear. Sakura is asleep so She like everybody else won't be appearing till Naruto forces Sasuke to awaken them after Naruto defeats Sasuke.

Not true. A manga can have many main characters. This manga's main protagonist, is Naruto. Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, Obito, etc. are all still main characters.
