Magnet Release

Magnet Release, or Jiton, is an Advanced Element made up of techniques that mix wind and earth-based chakra to create magnetic forces in different properties and usages. Various shinobi of Sunagakure, and Kumogakure have possessed this Advanced Element. Much like the name implies, Magnet Release follows the basic applications of magnetism, being that its affects metals to a much greater extent than non metallic objects. Much like Lava Release, Magnet Release has been shown in different ways in the manga, mostly because unlike a normal elemental nature KG release, you need a medium to actually produce the techniques. Of these usages, there exists three forms: Basic Magnetism, Iron Sand, and Gold Dust.
Restrictions:
- Basic Magnetism: The regular use of Magnet Release was seen used by a ninja from Kumogakure, Toroi. Toroi would magnetize special large shuriken which he used to attack the enemy. When the thrown shuriken comes into contact with any other object, it causes the struck target to become magnetised. One hit to the body will cause a magnetic field within the said body, making it an easy target for any further magnetised weapons to be drawn to it. However, each time the magnetism is transferred, it weakens.
- Iron Sand: After studying the sand manipulation abilities of Shukaku's jinchūriki, the Third Kazekage was able to imitate this ability using iron powder instead of sand, and his special magnetic powers. He often molded the iron powder into weapons and used them as his part of his main fighting style. When Sasori made the Kazekage into a puppet, he drenched the sand in poison, making it more lethal in battle.
- Gold Dust: Due to the conductive properties of gold, an alternating magnetic field can induce a current in it, which generates its own magnetic field, therefore small particles of it could be manipulated in a similar manner to that of sand through the Kazekage's Magnet Release. When he utilized this ability, dark rings appeared around his eyes that resembled the permanent ones around those of his youngest son, Gaara. As gold is heavier than sand, it is able to overpower it, gaining strength over the element.
- Gaara's usage: Gaara inherited the Magnet Release from his father. This ability is passively used by Gaara, which is applied to all of his Sand jutsu. He can use his Magnet Release to increase the density of his chakra and sand, thereby strengthening his defenses, which causes his Sand to have a passive +20 to his Sand jutsu.
Restrictions:
- Can be made at any rank.
- Requires Wind Release and Earth Release to make a Jiton bio.
- Iron Sand is restricted to Third Kazekage, Shinki and custom bios—specific rules apply for the Third Kazekage.
- Gold Dust is restricted to only Rasa (Fourth Kazekage) bios—specific rules apply.
- Counts as an Advanced Element.
- All custom Magnet Release bios must originate from either the Land of Lightning or the Land of Wind.
