Hey there, anyone a fan of Magic the gathering (MTG)? I've been a fan for many, many years, so let me know if you are and maybe we can play a game through posts or PM.

I'm strictly a Legacy player, I also love EDH (Elder Dragon Highlander) I've also started getting into Pauper (All commons...haha sinkholes a common)

I play with real cards, never cared much for Magic Online, tried it once, wasn't very satisfied with the results, real cards in my hand feels much better.

Message me if you ever want to play and we can have a match with decks of our choosing.

If you have played, do you have any memorable matches with someone? Any interesting combos and color combinations that work together? Please feel free to share.

Current EDH Generals:
Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Rune-Tail Kitsune Ascendant
Zur the Enchanter
Mono Black: Switch between Geth, lord of the vault for group games and Skithryx, the Blight Dragon for 1v1

Working on: Edric, Spymaaster of Trest

Current Legacy Decks:
Red Deck Wins
Affinity
Combo Elves
Dredge
Reanimator
Ad Nauseum Tendrills
Mud
Merfolk

I tried it out a few days ago, it's alright. I hear it can get really expensive though.
This is very true, especially with competitive play. If you go to a tournament, people don't mess around, and if you don't have the pieces to make the deck all it can be you're at a definite disadvantage. As for buying Booster packs, I stopped doing it, it's better to go online and buy the cards you need individually for the deck you're building, it's the best way to do it.

Although, I have a few noncompetitive decks which are fun to play as well.

Ya I hear the tournaments are really strict with the rules and shit. But my friend said if i buy the booster packs I can sell the cards individually and make a good amount of money off of it.

Your friend has a point, a booster pack can cost around 3.25 to 3.99 where i'm at. You ha ve to see what you can pull though, there's 15 cards in a pack, 1 rare, a few uncommons and 10 or so commons, and 1 random card it can be a foil, a rare, virtually anything. So depending on what cards you pull you could make some cash or lose it. It really all depends on what you find in the pack and if the cards are worth anything.

Plus its fun to open packs not gonna lie, i've opened plenty though.
