Indeed...
Total - 167 times
Average - 6.42 times per episode
Highest - 26 times in one episode
So what? That's just how she refers to her brother. Doesn't take away the fact that its one of the most high rated and high grossing animes of 2014.

You should have ignore my post and move on...... but no.... instead you quote me and attached that godawful video,

BOLD : the Ln ? of course.. the anime ? HELL NAY

Like you said up there there's a lot of explanation(infodump) in Mahouka, that is where I consider they failed the most. None of the explanations are immersive, interesting and they usually don't lead anywhere in this show. I believe they are detailed in LN, and seeing how a whole point of a book is for one to immerse himself into it,

A few things.
They focus too much on trying to explain magic, but since they don't have necessary time to do it they do it halfheartedly. This makes most explanation incomplete, sound boring and completely unnecessary,

To explain magic (point above) they sacrifice character development. Most side characters have had little to no backstory or even screen time. Take NSC arc as example. They present that "ancient-magic" guy that doubts himself. Can't remember his name. Then they completely ignore him whole arc only to bring him back as someone "they need" for final battle,

Other school characters suffer same fate. Chairman. What development did she get? She blushes to Tatsuya and finds him interesting, but that is the reaction of every single girl in this show except for Erika. There is nothing to distinguish them. They are ALL the same.

Boys don't have it any better either. They are all either jealous of Tatsuya or weed friends of Tatsuya that get screen time only when he, conviniently, needs them.

Another thing sacrificed for sake of mumbo-jumbo talk is world intrigues. Ten families, alliances, political disputes. All of that is presented as something big in intro sequence and almost completelly forgotten at this point. Ten families keeps being mentioned but nothing around it is ever explained more deeply. Nothing. Ever.

How did they come into power? Did they form alliance? Why do others fear them as much? How do people generally feel about being governed by ten "bullies"?

Miyuki and Tatsuya are both insanely strong and she is soooo obsessed with him I feel like her only goal in life to get finally f***** by him,

And most importantly, the villains. Do I need to even mention what is wrong with them? They put Nazi generals in "Allo, allo" to shame with how retarded they are. There is not a single redeeming quality for them. They wouldn't be a threat to kindergarten kids, let alone magicians.

I wasn't going to ignore a video that stupid.

Actually the anime has been pretty successful as well, the Blue-Ray and DVD sales have been top 10 most of the time.

You have to realize LN's are really hard to adapt. Madhouse had to fit 6 volumes of content, so they had to make cuts from Novel's, because if they didn't the first season would have been 40+ episodes easy.

For character development, they didn't have time to dive into the majority of the secondary characters with only having 26 episodes. In fact the volume they skipped over had side stories that gave character background and development for characters like Mayumi, Masaki, George, Honoka, etc. Also many of other characters don't get development in later volumes like Leo.

About the 10 masters clans, not everything about them has been revealed so far . That's about as much as we know about them 13 volumes in(14th volume is in the middle of being translated).

The anime explained a little about why Tatsuya feels the way he does
the experiment preformed on him when he was 6
. The anime gave small hints to why Miyuki feels the way she does(rewatch the opening scene from episode 1 and the first OP closely). However the backstory of those two isn't really explained until volume 8 in the novels which the anime didn't cover, because the first season ended on volume 7. So the second season will start off with an arc about Tatsuya and Miyuki's backstory.

The only problems with the Villains in Mahouka are that they tend to be to overconfident and underestimate their opponents, but really most of their schemes would have actually worked if it wasn't for Tatsuya and his friends. The only villain, so far in the series that doesn't make the same mistakes as the others is Zhou and he remains the largest threat in the series.

The anime wasn't perfectly adapted by all means, however I'm willing to give Madhouse the benefit of the doubt, because they had to cram 6 volumes of novels that are like 300 to 400 pages each into 26 episodes.

Its just a compilation there's nothing stupid about that, the fact that you find it disturbing is amusing.

Compared to the series hype before the adaptation ? the sales is not that good.

Its not that hard if they know how to do it properly, why don't you take a look at Fate/Zero,Oregairu,Haruhi Suzumiya anime adaptation, fitting 6 volume into a 2 cour anime series like mahouka is not that hard,

If anything they got their priority wrong, the should have just axed that nonsense magic 101 from Tatsuya, i remember Tatsuya beat some dude in a blink of an eye and went to explain how he does that for 15 minutes and then for the rest of the show he went to show his discontent about the student council, none of that really matters or have anything helpful for the show at all,

The its a bad adaptation, and like i said earlier they got their priority wrong, every episode feels like Magic 101,
its all good if its actually necessary but most of the infodump is pretty much useless,

The anime explained a little why Tatsuya feels the way he does. The anime gave small hints to why Miyuki feels the way she does(rewatch the opening scene from episode 1 and the first OP closely). So the second season will start off with an arc about Tatsuya and Miyuki's backstory.
What does Tatsuya feel ? didn't they take away all of his emotion ? if anything Tatsuya act like a villain he remind me of Charles Zi Britannia with all that equality crap,
Miyuki feels ? i don't have to re watch the 1st episode, Oni-Sama save her life that's why she want Oni-sama to bang her... sounds legit,

And thats exactly why they're stupid, and of course Tatsuya and friends will be there to stopped them.. what you expect ?, problem is every last one of them is just so BLANK there is zero characterization whatsoever and without that there goes the suspense...

Good Villain make Good Anime as simple as that,

The anime wasn't perfectly adapted by all means, however I'm willing to give Madhouse the benefit of the doubt, because they had to cram 6 volumes of novels that are like 300 to 400 pages each into 26 episodes.
Like i said 26 episode is more than enough to fit 6 volume when it comes to LN, some studio even do that with 12/13 episode, most of the LN readers that i encounter have nothing but insult for this poor adaptation and demand re-make

Did I say it was disturbing? No I said it was stupid and its stupid, because your using it as a reason to hate the anime and I find that amusing Lol.

Uh top 10 in sales is good, no matter how you look at it.

For one they adapt the Fate Series from the visual novels and the studio they use has a much higher budget to use since they work on far fewer anime's then madhouse.

15 minutes Lol, it was like 3 or 4 at the most. In all seriousness they did axe most of the 101 in magic in the anime. If you can't handle the info and the explanations, then the series is not for you, because this series leans heavily on logic and science. In fact most people(LN's readers included) complain that the anime didn't provide enough explanations.

Common misconception, Tatsuya does have emotions, otherwise he wouldn't be able to smile or anything.
The experiment preformed on him when he was 6, erased his strong emotions and urges(except for his brotherly love for Miyuki), but he still kept his weaker ones. Actually one of the main focuses of the series is Tatsuya's growth and development as a human and as the story progresses its shown that he has more emotions than previously believed.
Ah I sense strong hate for Miyuki in this one Lol.
To begin things off, for the majority of their lives Miyuki didn't see Tatsuya as her brother. She saw in him as just a older boy who lived in the same house and served her as her guardian. She didn't hate Tatsuya, but she didn't like him. However that all changed after she was shot by soldiers of the Great Asian Alliance in an attempt to invade Japan and Tatsuya saved her life. That's when she learned that her brother deeply cared about her, it was also the first and only time Tatsuya cried in the series. After that her mother told her about what they did to Tatsuya when he was younger and that's when she decided to devote her life to her brother and to one day free him from his shackles of the Yotsuba clan. She constantly feels guilty, because she is the only reason Tatsuya remains linked with the clan. Her romantic feelings developed, because most of their lives they weren't raised as siblings and Miyuki, just saw Tatsuya as another boy and not her brother until she was 12.
So it's way more deep than her just wanting to f*** her brother.

For me good characters and a good story, make a good anime and for the the most part, Mahouka's anime provided this. However I will admit the villains aside from Zhou, are not that great.

My only complaints about the anime were

-Cutting of some important information.

-Cutting of some character interactions and scenes

-Not animating some scene's correctly

Other than that they followed the plot well and covered the most important parts in the volumes. I didn't even mind them cutting volume 5, because those short stories are more suited to be OVA's. As an adaptation I give it a 7/10, as a anime in general I give it a 8/10.

That's funny most LN's readers I've encountered actually enjoyed the adaption, but understood it still had many flaws. You can't say Mahouka is a bad adaptation when you haven't even read the source material yourself.

come again ?

That's how boring it is, and you missed the point about the conversation being completely unnecessary,
I welcome infodumps and explanations, i have watched tons of series that did nothing but talked like Space Brother ( This manga is about Astronaut so am pretty you can imagine how high their conversation standards )
The problem with infodumps here is they were either not needed or needed, but done poorly.
I'll gladly read/watch magic explanation if it leads to something or is made as a mean to immerse watcher/reader,

Technobabble. Magical sequences in the show are interrupted by long explanations of the magical theory behind them. Characters would sit in the cafe and discuss magic. Tatsuya would move a block across a room then launch into a lengthy explanation why this was difficult for him. Tatsuya would explain why wizards flying is really difficult for most of an episode and then proceed to solve it a minute later accompanied by another explanation. I got a pretty good grasp on the world's magic system by the end of the show,

but these scenes are all excruciatingly boring even with that knowledge. Eyes glaze over as they talk about oscillating magical frequencies and squiddidly heebijeebies and whatnot. What was even more frustrating is you could use none of this knowledge to enjoy the show more. None of the explanations helped the viewer understanding what was going on in a battle better or let you work out what was going on yourself. Even with the knowledge of magic I gained, it never became useful to know for anything else. It wasn't building lore either since it felt mostly like reading from a highly boring textbook. So what was the point of these lengthy magical explanations?

Common misconception, Tatsuya does have emotions, otherwise he wouldn't be able to smile or anything.
The experiment preformed on him when he was 6, erased his strong emotions and urges(except for his brotherly love for Miyuki), but he still kept his weaker ones. Actually one of the main focuses of the series is Tatsuya's growth and development as a human and as the story progresses its shown that he has more emotions than previously believed.
And here you're talking about the LN ? am pretty sure am talking about the anime,

You're going round and round with that explanation and in the end its "Oni-Sama save her life that's why she want Oni-sama to bang her" surely my statement is spot on,

For me good characters and a good story, make a good anime and for the the most part, Mahouka's anime provided this. However I will admit the villains aside from Zhou, are not that great.
Good Characters ? really ? Good Story? in Mahouka ? did you just.......

Stephen Hawking pretends to be a kindergarten student and crushes them all in the science fair. Replace Stephen Hawking with "super soldier who has god like magic power" and kindergarten with "magic school" and you get the idea. Likeable characters and nice magical effects ruined by an idiotic story. The final 3 episodes have a battle which is like watching a kid stomp on ants. How did such a bad story ever get made?

When your show has two mary sues in it, both our main protagonists at that, then you know you have some explaining to do. Tatsuya, our male protagonist is not the strongest in the magical field, as i mentioned before he is part of the less skilled group, but this is overshadowed by his amazing martial arts skill and knowledge of how magic works. He is one of the biggest Gary Stues I have ever seen in a show, since even though he's not supposed to be good with magic, he actually is. He literally takes a guy down in less than a second. He has almost no personality and one of his biggest purposes is explaining everything to everyone.

Miyuki is our second protagonist, and as much a Mary sue as her bigger brother is a Gary stues. The opposite of Tatsuya when it comes to magical skills, Miyuki is very proficient in the use of magic. Having next to no personality, the only thing Miyuki does is praise her brother, call her brother ''Onii-sama'', praise her brother, tell people how awesome her brother is and praising her brother. It doesn't help that she obvously loves Tatsuya more than a little sister should.

Side characters are awful, and just serve the purpose of praising Tatsuya or getting told how things work, since Tatsuya is the only one who knows anything in this show.

Horrible characters that either serve no purpose or are thrown in as an excuse to get some expostion,

The story is not much better. Given the huge character cast and boring main characters, the story tends to be slow paced and takes too long to explain things. 90% of MKnR is spent explaining. Almost every time an action scene occurs or a new magic is shown, the show stops and has the characters indirectly explain to the audience what happened even though I never really cared to know most of the time.
Plus most things that are explained are rather unimportant overall and make it hard to focus on the actual important information.

For example
If the explanation for why Tatsuya can run super fast is because he can strengthen his legs with magic, I'm sure no one would complain - that's a satisfying enough explanation. However, an explanation in the show gives us would include talking about the absolute fundamentals of what Tatsuya does - creating psion waves which are the basic forms of magical energy and shifting them to the feet where waves of energy are released upon the foot's contact with the ground at a 45 degree angle - I'm sure you understand by now. The explanations are just too long and unnecessary, especially when they're not crucial for our enjoyment of the show.

That's funny most LN's readers I've encountered actually enjoyed the adaption, but understood it still had many flaws. You can't say Mahouka is a bad adaptation when you haven't even read the source material yourself.
Then you should check MAL/ANN/ and MH there you'll see LN readers blaming Madhouse for the poor anime adaptation and Madhouse fanboy defending Madhouse and claim mahouka for being mediocre to begin with,

Despite wanting to be taken seriously, the show can't help but have it's fair share of generic high school hijinks. Mahouka is a harem. None of the male characters get any significant screen time except for Tatsuya, and all other female characters are either in love, or appear to be in love with Tatsuya.
