Well Nagato got the Rinnegan when he still lived with Jiraya. So -madara must have told Nagato to bring him back when he grew up. It seems unlikely that Nagato wouldn't have told Jiraya about the plan When he was so confused back then.

yes but i dont think that tobi ever told nagato anything until he joind akatski because nagato clearly understood that tobi was in charge and appeared to be loyell to him and tobi said that he was the one that made yahiko form akatski and then manipulated nagato after yahiko died

I like this theory,,

And as far as people saying "he killed him self",,,did you ever think that hashi injured him so bad that he KNEW he didnt have a long time live so he rolled the dice and before he died used tnj on nagato to revive him,, thats why he was partly surprised when he thought nagato brought him back,

So basically im saying he was gonna die anyway so he was like "hey lemme see if I can make this uzamaki wimp to bring me back",,
