Its been thick. Why did sasuke attack him with a sword instead of susanoo or amaterasu? Maddy compared it to gravel but that didnt stop him from throwing off his armor in armor in a hurry. Where was sasuke after madara ran away from him? Why didnt sasuke block the sword with susanoo?

I'm not entirely sure it could be a surprise attack by Hashiramas jutsu.....something powerful in the guise of appearing weak.

Or it could be Madara using some sort of telekinesis...the way he used his susanoo sword on the Gedo chains. Froze Sasuke in the air then Sasuke while immobile dropped his sword.

Only two guesses I have.

Madara did not absorb amaterasu his armor was still on fire. Madara bolted it from sasuke only to get owned anyway.

No he did not absorb it if he did he wouldnt have thrown off his armor. The bijuu turned madara into a ping pong ball and just when he thought it was done naruto comes in and flattens him with a tail. Thats called getting owned.

Sasuke was going for an offensive strike
Using ninjustu was pointless at the time so why would covering himself in a chakra shield when fighting a guy who knows everything about his clan change things in the slightest ?

That was the same naruto that no longer knew madara could not absorb jutsu. Absorbing chakra and jutsu is two different things.

@DEADMANWONDERLAND couldnt reply for some reason but anyway it is YOU who dont make a compelling arguement. I can be as snarky as i want as long as i state the facts. You on the otherhand are arguing susanoo cant block a simple sword and gave no evidence as to why. Doesnt matter if madara could do something else potentially to break it and yes by my logic blind madara shouldve httwn STOMPED MISERABLY by sasuke hes way stronger.

Once I believed madara didn't absorb either. But then, someone told me> amaterasu would also hit his hair. Taking the armor out wouldn't save his hair from the fire, and then he would have burned either way.

So, I guess considering that madara managed to absorb chakra, he might be able to absorb ninjutsu too, considering the situation.

You can set your mind to scramble through oodles of reasons why that scan isn't acceptable, but in the end Madara absorbed it. Not trying to be mean, but this is the obvious.....take from it what you will. I feel even from one of Kishis characters perspective...in the end it's still Kishi saying that. You are free to believe whatever you choose of course.
