I have been wondering for quite a while, and I haven't seen anyone speculate about the subject, but isn't Madara covered, for the most part, in the material? Such as that his arms and legs are black, meaning that they couldn't be penetrated by regular techniques.

They look much to black and undetailed to be clothes. Not to mention that neither Kaguya or Hagoromo have this.

Read the official colored chapters. His clothes were slightly "grayer" than the Goudo-dama, which were colored-in pitch black.
