madara's trump card is sage mode
if you remember this -(
madara says ... "i'll switch with obito using your hermit power."
now let's go far back to -> kabuto vs itachi

the reason why madara stole hashi's dna and not just any fodder senju dna cuz he wanted to learn sage mode
hashi was special one even among the senjus to be able to learn sage mode.
again if you remember madara saying that "even after fusing himself with hashi's dna nothing happened initially "... it took him, his entire life span to awake rinnegan. most likely he could awake rinnegan many years later after he learned how to gather nature energy. ie learned SM.
conclusion
madara has sage mode along with rinnegan and ems.
which he will use to take over the juubi.
