I came to the conclusion that Sasuke will be the only character getting through there. Neither Naruto nor Hashirama will get to him in a way that he listens.

And no, when he sees Hashi again, we will get a ton of flashbacks and explanations and conversations. Everyone who thinks they will just plainly fight each other and have a rematch, isn't able to figure out why Kishi is doing what he's doing right now.

It might be they won't meet at all but all the talk about how he wanted Hashirama to come back is really foreshadowing a meeting.

And to all who think he would be scared, lol, when was he ever scared as an edo? It would really be an interesting conversation to see, but none would be scared or run away. They would probably talk away while fighting around and explaning stuff. That's more like it is built up right now. We aren't getting these flashbacks about their past for nothing but a rematch.
