madara's rank when he was in konaha

When hashi was 1st hokage.do u think madara was a jounin.because it would have been disgrace to his name as he could defeat hidden stone kages easily?

I think by the time shodai was deciding the rank, Madara was gone
and he is not kage level , he is KAMI level
like hashirama, nagato, rikudu sennin

He might be a jounin; not every jounin is in the same level; both Kankuro and Kakashi are jounins; but the difference is obvious.
