Madara's PS Sword Swing

So, I was wondering exactly how Madara's sword swing cut the mountains in half. You can see in the picture that the sword isnot long enough to reach the mountain, so what, when Madara swings does he send out a energy cutting attack for longs distance? It looks like Madara's statement about "desetroying everything" has merit. Mabey, like Itachi's sword Madara's sword seals anything it hits or is in its direct path of the "cut". It seems like Madara cut, then all things after the cut x distance away were erased.
If its not some special ability then Madara is even stronger becuase that means what he did was purely physical streanght. How hard do you need to swing to send a shockwave that travels hundreds of kilometers and cuts mountains in half...Is it possible that he infuses his sword with Futon chakra, then after swinging sends it out?
Thoughts??

Also, if Madara uses PS in his current Juubi Jink mode how powerfull would it be? Instead of mountains what would he be cutting? Islands? Countries?

We don't even know if Madara can use Susanoo anymore. And if he can, he probably won't since he wants to test out his new jubi powers. Madara doesn't like using shit over and over unless he has to.

Its probably something like it creates an air wave capable of cutting the mountains. Or a subtle, extremely thin and invisible charka is relased from the blade at super fast speeds cutting the mountain. Infusing with fuuton is entirely possible as well, but I don't think that is the case, because even with fuuton we always see a physical representation of it actually being used (atleast when used in a technique of some sort). Or perhaps susanoo's sword actually cuts atoms in the air and controls the energy released from the cut atoms and directs the energy in the path of the sword slice, and susanoo just does this naturally

There are a bunch of different ways as to how this is possible. I would just go with, susanoo's sword is just powerful enough to make his cut fly (kinda like in op if you read that)

I think it's implied that the force from the blade is so great that the wind traveling along the swing's path continued moving with enough power to split the mountains. The earth and mountains themselves were already vibrating violently from the blade's impact with the ground, and so were too destabilized to resist the after-impact. Torn between the force travelling through the ground and air, the tops of the mountains were "sliced" off.

It does appear like Kishi intended the mountains to be cut as if by travelling chakra blades (like the Samurai). However, he does not depict such blades.

first it appears like shock wave but it's not.
That power came from the rikudou sennin and I will explain what it is.

2.Rikudou sennin was the origin of the uchiha's abilities and senju too.

The original power was yin-yang release (yin to create physical shape and yang to give life to it ) and the bijuus are a perfect example.

Anything that susanoo cut is made into pieces (even water or gas but in this case it would simple be made to nothing)

7. Matter commonly exists in four states (or phases): solid, liquid and gas, and plasma and all object we see in naked eye are matter, in other
words chakra is matter (every thing that exist in naruto is matter)
