A lot of people (including myself) are a bit disappointed with Madara's resolve. The moment that irked me the most is when the Hokage appear and he gets left open-mouthed by Hashirama. It was either for comic relief or just a serious downplay on Madara's character.

And yes, I do believe that Madara's attitude is rather disappointing but the most recent case, i think, can be somewhat justified. Right when I thought Madara would stop messing around and get serious as he takes over Obito, he loses to Obito, who becomes the jinchuriki.

And the "oh, well" response was just as disappointing but I think I would prefer it over "OH NO! MY EVIL PLAN! GAAH!", y'know? I think that Kishi is trying to show that Madara is cool, calm, collected, and can react to any situation with ease, but its being presented in the wrong way.

We dont even fully know his motives. Maybe he does want Infinite Tsukuyomi and thats why he's not so upset over Obito. I doubt he's still all over Hashi, since he made the resolve to become the jinchurikki without fighting him. So until we know his true motives, we cant really judge this laidback attitude he presents. Or maybe he just has it because for the time being, he's immortal and he's just chilling.

Anyway, feedback? Do you guys like Madara's laidback villian attitude? Do you expect more from him? Etc.

His personality is so plain and flat to me. I prefer Obito as a villain because he does things that affect the main character in different ways. Madara says he's gonna do something every chapter and doesn't follow through with it. Everything Obito has said, he has done effectively. He doesn't even seem to care about anything at the moment. He seems to have some craving obsession with fighting Hashirama and looks like he's forgotten about his whole plan. This whole 'it's all according to plan' is so predictable it's annoying. With Obito we get more twists and revelations which Is why I prefer him. Also Madara has no connection to Naruto whatsoever so really Naruto doesn't have a reason to be mad at him.

Madara didn't know Obito had become the 10 tails jinchuriku at the time. He was probably content to let the jubi run wild and destroy the shinobi alliance. Maybe he was hatching a plan for the far future already, like getting Obito's rinnegan and giving it to someone else who could revive him.

okay you....
just 'cause you don't like his personality won't ruin his character.the way he is being shown,is the reason that i like his personality and that make him look BOSS.
he is one of the founders of konoha, and thus should be like this.him being the final villain will ruin the series plot.he has no connection to naruto's past or his condition, thus he should not be the f.v.
it has been forshadowed throughout the manga that obito is darkness and naruto, light.and also that sasuke vs madara should happen.
