I know that u don't need a special Sharingan to use Izanagi, a simple 3 tomoe sharingan do the trick, but I like to think that there is more behind that eye and is not only to see.

I definitely find it curious that Obito lacks a left eye and Madara lacks right eye, they kind of complement themselves. I know that kishi did this in purpose, they guy maybe wanna tell us something or is just to make the 2 characters closer idk.

Maybe is actually a powerful sharingan.. maybe a Mangekyou with a powerful genjutsu? The genjutsu that controlled Yagura possibly?
