This is so the month that I fell into the pit of despair.

Madara had nothing to do with rins death.

It has already been established that kiri wanted their tailed beast to run rampant through konoha.

The reason madara showed obito those images was to get obito's emotions riled up.

He could of just as easily told obito where they were earlier but,wanted to use them to get obito on his side by having him witness their deaths.

And the only reason madara knew where they were is because obito mentioned them to madara and zetsu while in the cave and so madara had zetu follow them around.

Obito then got revenge on them by inducting the rule that all genin must kill each other and by taking over their kage
