I believe madara gained his knowledge about the sage when he was near death after fighting the first hokage.... the sage or his brother just probably told madara just like what is happening with naruto now... madara may be a reincarnation of the eldest son and not sasuke imo

I agree with OP. If he read it on uchiha tablet then sasuke would know at least half the information but sasuke is mostly oblivious

no. madara goes with hashirama. naruto goes with sasuke. the sage only showd up now because naruto has a small bond with all the beasts and they are in him.

Who knows maybe sasuke will have a talk about indra in his near death state? And gain his knowledge as well...maybe sasuke is the incarnation of the eldest of this gen now that I think about it!

Madara had Rinnegan, Sasuke don't and as long as i remember Madara said to Hashirama that story about Kaguya and Hagaromo are written on table.

I wonder if he didn't make a connection with the husk when he was connected at old age, husk could have had some of Hagoromo's chakra left allowing himself to project himself to Madara.

Madara knew way more then we can assume was on that table..which all we know was just the outlining of that story.maybe just that particular story was on the table but some other things about the sage (which madara knew) as detailed as they are being made now was gained near death. ...I thinks its obvious that madara in the reincarnation of the eldest
