[Discussion] Madara's Gunbai vs. Itachi's Yata Mirror.

Both achieves the same objective. Madara's is smaller but is more portable and doesn't need Susanoo. It can also practically extend itself via a barrier that does the same thing. Yata covers more area but needs time to bring out as one must activate a high level Susanoo first before being able to wield it.

So, what's everyone's take on this?

Itachi mirror just blocks it right . Madaras fan blocks n reverses the effect n damage back at you. Imma go with madaras. Unless the mirror does the same thing they both uchiha techniques.

yata mirror aint got nothing to do with uchihas, kishi just draw those weapons to itachi so he could use it few times in hard spot. Madaras technique other hand that he is using with hes fan is an uchiha technique. And ill go with madaras fan anyways, mirror is so overrated. ( blocked exploding kunai so far ) and last chapter shows what madaras fan did. ( along with the technique )

It's not an ordinary fan. It has special properties. Going by feats, it's on par with, if not greater than, even the treasured tools of Hagaromo.

Yeah the Uchiha fan is better than a treasured tool created by the Sage. Implying that humans can create a better weapon than the Sage is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

Yata Mirror > Gumbai

Sure the Gumbai can take in high-powered attacks and reflect them back. But this is a physical weapon that can be taken or misplaced. To use the properties one must have wield it at all times, preventing them from using jutsu.

The Yata mirror is part of the Susano'o and will always protect the user from ANYTHING! While the mirror is being used the user can also perform hand seals.

Madara's Mirror has achieved more feets. Itachi didn't have much time to showcase his shield or mirror thing so for that reason Madara Fan > Spiritual weapon.

Yata is mere hype bole with feats to no justify it. Gunbai in fact blocked mini TBB and deflect it.

gunbai is more useful than yata.

gunbai returns back the attack but yata only changes its properties accordingly with the attack.
gunbai is defensive as well as offensive
yata is only defensive.

The Yata Mirror was equipped to Itachi's Susanoo, in its left hand and, is considered one of the three sacred treasures. It is said to be endowed with all nature transformations and as such changes its own characteristics to completely negate any opposition.

Whereas Madaras Gunbai is more or less like Samehada (Kisame/B's sword) able to act as a medium for Madara to push chakara into and perform tech's. Even though the Gunbai did redirect a tech, this was probably and most undoubtedly due to Madara's sharingan, remember they can see things Matrix style, thus allowing Madara to redirect the tech...

Now show me Madara block a blow from the totsuka sword with it then you have a discussion...

Never mentioned how it reflects, it just does. In theory, it can relfect totsuka as well
