This is his first downfall - in his natural life.
This is his second downfall - in his second life. This will be his greatest downfall.
In conclusion.....

As you can see, he underestimated his opponent. He assumed he was at the top already and no one could reach him. This ultimately led to his defeat.

Basically, he underestimated Naruto this whole chapter. From beginning to the end. The first two images show how he underestimated both Naruto and Sasuke. I highly doubt Madara has ever seen "Senjutsu of the Six Paths" Its a power only Hashirama COULD of had, but we know he didn't. Also we know he did not meet Hagomoro because if he did, he would of ended up like Sasuke... with an irregular dojutsu.
Second, he had never seen a dojutsu such as Sasuke's. He's clearly underestimating him, the same way he did to Naruto. Madara could of known what that dojutsu was but he never met with the sage. Im sure he would of noticed if there as something different about Sasuke's "rinnegan" (Btw how do you guys feel about only one eye on Sasuke? Personally I hate it... its like first Obito with one eye, now Madara, and now Sasuke....)

Madara will be defeated just as he was by Hashirama, for underestimating his opponent and believing he already had the strongest power.
