Madara's Eyes and Nagato

So I was just thinking and got curious...

Why out of all people did Madara pick Nagato to take his eyes? Was is a random choice for him? Or did he purposely pick him? Maybe knowing he was an Uzumaki and that was his intent?

Usually it seems that Madara does things with an a real person and intent to his actions. As in he deliberately makes his choices with knowledge and thought as to what he's doing. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to just pick some random kid and go with that.

So, is there any reasoning to it, or just a random happening?

He knew that an Uzumaki would be compatible with the rinnegan.

its simple madara had to choose a guy who fullfill his plan and no one knows that rinnegan is actaully exist. If he suppose choose from his own clan or from leaf village ,,the orochimaru would have stolen it or do experiment to him. Uzumaki is the descendant clan of senju as per manga so nagato is the good choice. as we already know how sharingan effects kakashi ,,after using eye dodjutsu he beacame tormented....
