So, just to get a pulse on the forum.

What parts of Madara's story do you think are true?

I am not saying he is lying, I think he said what was written, but how much of that will come to light as 100% true? How much is exaggerated? Undersold?

What parts specifically do you not believe? What parts do you think are spot on?

Edit: Okay I am NOT saying he is lying. I am asking if you believe the story written 100%. Like all of the details.. Was it really a fruit? Did she really eat the fruit to save everyone? Did the Sage really beat the Juubi? Was it his mom? Did his mom seal the Juubi in the Sage? Just questions about the actual story... not what Madara's truth is.

I think Madara told the truth. But is the truth...the truth?

Ya feel me?

It's ALL true.
Madara read it on the Uchiha tablet, it all fits perfectly and he's the 'good' guy in his perspective, so he wouldn't be lying to himself or other people, for that matter.

I think the story written on the tablet was worded to be taken in a negative connotation. Thus making all humans seem like trash, to inspire the reader to cast the Genjutsu. Since it was the Uchiha's tablet, and they all have fragile emotions, it's easy to manipulate them with depressing stuff like that.

Some old, bitter Uchiha probably wrote it for to carry on his will

The Older Son then? He was bitter. Either-way, Hashirama was the first to discover it and show it to Madara.

I would assume it's all true, but we'll find out soon.

I actually really like this...In a way I could see how this would intentionally lead some one to be depressed (as Madara was) about humanity. Now, an old Uchiha? I think you would have a tough time making that argument. Who could be so impactful? I think it could be some one from around the beginning of humanities curse (the fruit).

It's never been said who wrote the Tablet, I don't think. But I'm speculating that it was the Elder son, who then passed it down the generations. It had to be someone with the Rinnegan, as that is what it takes to completely read the tablet.

I think the writer of the Tablet wanted the Genjutsu to be cast, and wrote in a way to convince the reader of its merits. Which is why we need to get some other sides to the story.

Kind of like how the truth about Itachi wasn't revealed in its entirety until he himself told Sasuke

He saw what he saw, but he is seeing it through his tinted colored glasses. Intelligence is not the same as discernment. I know he is not lying but I don't think he knows the truth either, even if he thinks he does. So far only Itachi has any measure of wisdom among Uchiha clan that we seen.

I couldn't agree with this more. Whoever wrote the tablet wants Infinite Tsukuyomi to happen. I don't love the idea that its the Elder Son, however, its certainly something that is possible. Id like to think that it is some one who had even MORE influence over the way things turned out with the Sage..

This is great by the way. Even though it is contradictory to what Sky said. So Madara read what was only a documentation of history and through his warped view saw corruption. Okay, I can definitely see that. But if that's the case, then don't you think its weird the tablet specifically tells you how to unlock greater eyes? And need I remind you that it is no simple, or kind task..

An odd thing that stood out to me, was the Sage's birth. Was it natural? Or did the fruit somehow impregnate the Princess? It's possible. The Sage has the same last name as her.

And with the biblical implications in Naruto, it's understandable that we could get a Jesus-like birth. Perhaps the Sage was the creation of Chakra itself?

As for the writer... I have no idea who it could be other than the elder son. A new character would probably have to be introduced. Or maybe it was the Princess herself.

The mysteries of the Creation of all Things still haven't been revealed. I believe that technique will play a huge role in future events

To your first point. Yeah, it did seem strange that she not only bore a child, but said child grew up faster than it took the Juubi to attack him and his mother (or maybe his mother died shortly after?). But yeah, I found that part odd for sure. How did the Juubi not do anything in all those years it must have taken the Sage to grow. I think there is something there we weren't told. To his birth specifically, yeah, I agree that it just seemingly came out of nowhere...

Madara was like: "And then after all that she bore a child..." and it just came out of nowhere..

The point I was making about some one with more of an impact is that the Princess' motivations for stealing the fruit (that coincidentally no one knew why you weren't suppose to touch) are too easy to accept. Out of nowhere, she decides to take the fruit, not even knowing exactly what it would do? It just doesn't add up...she was told to do it.

It's also probable that Madara doesn't even know the full story himself, seeing as he only read the tablet when he had EMS. A mastermind who influenced the Princess? That's very possible.

Madara also didn't know the meaning of the fruit. But it gave her the ability to use Chakra.. It only grew once in a millennium, the reasons for which were unknown.

But in the bible, Eve was driven into the forbidden garden by a snake.. That snake could be something or someone behind it all. Which is why Orochimaru must have some big part left to play

The contents of the tablet, still haven't been fully diverged I believe

Oh...Madara absolutely doesn't know the whole story himself. How could he? He is missing one of the most important pieces to the puzzle. Why can't anyone touch the fruit?!

It was a serpent I believe in the bible, which of course is cursed and later becomes the slithering snake. Orochimaru's impact is something everyone wants to see (according to the posts I've read), but I just don't see it. Like you said, the story parallels not only Adam and Eve, but numerous other stories in other religions, folk tales, legends, etc. In that a woman is tricked into doing something by an evil force. I see no reason for it to be different here, in fact, it lines up perfectly.

And yes, no one has read the tablet with the Rinnengan (as far as we know) so itll be interesting to see if/when that comes up..

Peanuts....

As if it is most likely the case that his statements will be validated [by whom?].

Validation at this point would be useless to the current plot. In terms of the Sennin's rudiments, Madara is most cognizant as his Dōujutsu has allowed him to decipher inscriptions left by The Rikudō, information which has thus far led his plan into fruition----There is currently no reason to doubt the information.

Madara is most likely telling the truth. However, there is still more written on the . In that page, Madara confirmed that is what made him give up hope, reading that bit on the Uchiha Tablet. Hashirama's question and Madara's answer supplements this fact.

Now, if we rewind back to the five kage summit, Obito states that the rinnegan can decode more than the EMS. Now fast forward to Madara's statement that he obtained the rinnegan in his elder years, was long after he had already lost hope after reading that story.

I don't think he's lying, more like Kishi is holding out on the rest for now.

Again, Im not saying Madara isn't telling the truth. Im really not saying anything because this is just a poll to see how people viewed the story. But it is certainly my opinion that what was written on the tablet is not what exactly happened with the Sage, his mother, the Juubi, etc. Validation is EVERYTHING at this point. Not validating what Madara said, but Validating what the tablet said. It left out key pieces of information that Madara seemingly brushed off as "well...people didn't know." The only thing left really is validating the story that has just been told.

Right, like I said, Madara isn't the one lying (if anyone is lying at all). Also, you're right about the Rinnengan, as far as we know, no one has read the tablet using it, which again, seems suspicious. Im trying to show how the tablet only gave specific information for specific reasons..

History is written from the winner's perspective and this is the story as told by the sage. Believe half of what you see and none of what you're told.
