Madara's "end" signifies his return?!

Madara has unresolved character conflict. He needs to see his ideology refuted; Kishi has built up Madara's character too much to have him die so quickly in a single chapter. The fact that Hashirama is still in play pretty much guarantees that Madara will return.

He needs some closure with Hashirama especially. A character that has been introduced and developed hundreds of chapters won't just go vanish in one chapter like that.
