Madara's comment to Tsunade-Why does he hate women?

I am pretty sure he was insulting her strength, hence her being called "ugly". He wasn't insulting women in general.

Madara's comment to Tsunade really ticked me off. I don't care who he thinks he is or how he was brought up, you don't speak to a woman that way and I would have punched anyone else in front of me who said that in real life. What do you think brought this attitude of his on? Do you think women in his time were discriminated against? Do think he is personally a misogynist? Do you think he's gay? I'll leave a poll.

Tsunade punched him as well. Or, tried to, anyway.

More seriously, I have no idea. I found it weird as well. I would guess that he was disappointed at how weak she was compared to her grandfather, Hashirama. Still, don't really get the relevance of her being a woman with that.
