In the latest chapter the hachibi exclaimed that if they managed to pull the chakra of the tailed beasts from Obito then he would be left with nothing but the shell of the Juubi. To my knowledge the Gedou Mazou was pretty much the chakraless shell of the Juubi and Madara, Obito, and Nagato were able to manipulate it. 
The Shinjuu was known as the host of God (not God itself) so wouldn't that mean that Madara can still manipulate the shinjuu. I would make sense that while Obito was fighting he was using the Juubi's influence to control the shijuu and when he started to lose the Juubi's power he could no longer excercise authority over the shijuu.
So my question: If it turns out that the shinjuu doesnt require the Juubi's influence doesn't Madara currently have at his disposal an evolved form of the Gedo Mazou that completely drains chakra from contact.
Can't cast Infinite Tsukuyomi though.
