Hello, I had seen some threads on asking the difference and some opinions as well.
So basically I want to state why the staff of Madara and Obito differ in terms of yin and yang.
Obito had the full staff complete with rings:
You must be registered for see images
Madara had half the circle without rings:
You must be registered for see images

But now look at Hagoromo's staff, it has both the staffs combined into one:
You must be registered for see images
This is because Hagoromo had both the Yin and Yang within him, giving him the complete staff.
Obito was the reincarnation of Ashura and represented the good/light/Yang portion, making him have a staff with rings.
While Madara was the reincarnation of Indra, representing the evil/dark/yin giving him the incomplete staff.

It's probably because of the eyes
Obitos left rinnegan-sun staff
Madara right rinnegan-moon staff
The sage had both rinnegans and both staffs

No, it's because the left eye is the Moon and the right one is the Sun.

Noticed how obito's right side as well as Rikudo's have rings while Rikudos as well as Madz's left are moon?

I've been saying this ever since Rikudo was shown. U_U

Yes I have noticed that, and I feel that the sun represent the light of the world/yang while the moon is darkness/yin. But yeah that makes sense with the moon/sun thing.
