While in his original plan he didnt want to start a war and kill people at the end he did it but not because people stood up in his "way" but simply because of his passion for fighting.. check out him vs shinobi alliance.. pure "dancing", wanted to test the power of the gokage... went to the other battlefield not to fight but to ask Obito whats going on... again was fighting with the juubi just to test its power... got bored when hashirama came in to the battle and waited him while sitting lol.. even when he was fighting guy he said something like that "its rare to fight against the 8th gates ill be your opponent" while fckin laughing... you can find proves for all these statements. He killed more cuz of fun than for people that were standing in his way which make him even crazier lol.
