If the EMS is a combination of two Uchiha's Sharingan and you get the ability of the other user as well what the hell happened with Madara? With his own MS he was a match for Hashirama and he got his brother's eyes and his brother was Madara's equal so shouldn't Madara have been more than enough of a match for Hashirama? And if he just wanted Hashirama's DNA why risk losing Kurama? Even a better question what is his brother's Sharingan power?

I dont think its confirmed that EMS gives the user the ability of the other..for example Sasuke and Itachi pretty much had the same MS techs(Itachi could use Tsukuyomi better than Sasuke) this might be because they are brothers

Madara and Izuna probably had similar MS techs like Sasuke and Itachi do because they are brothers

What you get from EMS(as far as we know now):
-you dont go blind
-A new Susanoo

on another note Madara probably just thought that having Kurama handy would help him beat Hashirama but it didnt

Madara did lose most of the battles but the last fight he had planned out it seems so I guess that is what I'm saying.
